This beauty here really made me happy 😀 I was in good spirits while painting it which does makes a difference 😉 So this is Autumn and this little piece is a watercolor and acrylic painting i did on my recently purchased watercolor pad. I love how vibrant it turned out. Of course i googled for inspiration and found a picture/painting like this so i decided to paint it myself. I am not sure who was the owner of that picture/painting because i randomly came across while googling. Nevertheless, once it was done i wanted to gift it to my dear friend who was instantly in love with it. So it was officially framed, sealed and delivered to her the other day 😀
I have been playing with pigments for quite sometime now and have been stacking my amateur art in a bag. It was annoying looking at them like this. So one day i decided to just stick them all up on my wall near my desk where i paint. I guess its a sort of inspiration wall now. I see my work and get some motivation; to paint often, to improve, to get ideas and most of all to be happy.
So this is random painting i did only because i wanted to try out my new watercolor pad which i recently bought. I tried and tested it; it was great. I never knew their was a different paper used specifically for watercolor painting :O well i guess we learn something new everyday huh. So as you all know i love to play around with colors so this was something random. I think it was pretty fascinating trying out pigments on this water color pad because the feel of it was totally different as in it was more like the water would absorb in it and spread out easier compared to the normal sketch pad which i previously used as my only notepad to paint. What i love about this pad was that it made shading so much easier and fun. Mixing colors was a big task using that sketch pad not because i was doing it wrong but because i was using the wrong tool. Well, nevertheless its always fun to paint.

O’ people of Rohingya,
You’re the fallen heroes;
You’re like those tiny seeds
That will grow.
The tables will turn,
No more will the ashes burn,
So strengthen your faith,
If they want they can hate.
Fear them not;
They will be caught,
In the court of the greatest,
Under the light of the fairest.
So be like a knight,
Do not give up but fight,
Fight till you die,
Your place will be in Jannah so high.
Humanity is asleep,
Looking at them don’t you weep?
Wake-up kingdom of the blind,
Think from your heart and not mind.
Embrace them with your open arms;
Don’t you want to share your flowering farms?
So let not the blood spill,
Let them not be killed.
O’ People of Rohingya,
Do not let the hope slide,
Hold on to it tight,
For you’re in our hearts,
Even if your soul departs.
I finally decided that i should try my hand on canvas after all I always wanted to; and what better way to start by painting for a friend who wanted to decorate her kitchen. Here i used a small 20×20 cm canvas (pure cotton). The art is personalized according to her taste of course. She shares the love of tea and pizza with me though 😉
I hope you like it.
The afternoon of a summer day,
With wind blowing towards the bay
She’d walk miles and away
Watching the clouds as they turn grey
The sweat on her forehead,
As she walks with small footsteps
Pondering about her existence
Asking why life is a pretense?
Not knowing what to expect
Its the hard work she respects
Hoping one day to break the chains
But she remembers somethings when it rains.
Days go on as one by one
And the time slips and run.
Leaving her old & wise
Its the journey that matters
Not the miles.
The sun descends and the night falls
The voices in her head dances and calls.
Closing her eyes, she cant sleep
It’s hard watching her eyes weep.
If i knew how to stop the bleed
Years would feel shorter than a leap
Thousand times I have died
Watching her smile
As she lied,
Hiding her emotions so easily
Making them believe foolishly
But I can’t take it no more
Now my eyes are soar
And I have become a burning coal.
My ashes are on the ground
Its dreadful as it sounds
Goodbye for as we’ll meet again,
Perhaps on a summer day
I promise our lives wont be grey!
